Varia mount from www.76projects.com : good finish, holds the Garmin tight, not too expensive...

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Darimo UD glossy seatpost vs the Schmolke Black Edition UD finish?

I'd need 350mm so it's 80g vs 87g and €310 vs €460,
I can't see that it makes sense to go for the Schmolke one, except that from the photos, it looks a bit more aesthetically pleasing (being very picky, after all they are both just black tubes)

May be camera angle, but based on where the mount is positioned, the Varia appears to be pointing at an angle to the horizon. which from my understanding of the Garmin user manual, will effect the effective range.cedced74 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 9:36 pm

Darimo UD posts are more dark grey than black.Knightyboy27 wrote:Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Darimo UD glossy seatpost vs the Schmolke Black Edition UD finish?

If you definitely want black then i would suggest getting the Schmolke.

150€, heavier, had more rail damages issues with those metal yokes and can’t choose the finish. Quite a quick selection to me.Knightyboy27 wrote:Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Darimo UD glossy seatpost vs the Schmolke Black Edition UD finish?

Trying to order a post for F12, but Darimo says they only have zero offset for Dogmas. Although they say that their zero offset actually have some offset
