Hi guys, I have a 25.4mm Darimo seatpost for my 2016 Supersix, what is the best way to securely mount my Di2 battery in this seatpost please? Cable tie around bubble wrap squashed in?

I just wrapped the battery in a couple of dense foam rings and plugged it into the seatpost.

I use https://eu.ritcheylogic.com/eu_en/bike/ ... bber-mount
Cost 6€ and works (to be complete I only insert it 2cm, then friction is too high so I could trim it cutting half).

What torque do you guys run with the T1 loop? I recently got the seatpost for my R5 and at 3nm it came loose after a few rides.

Yeah, 3Nm but I used a drop of loctite 242 on both screws.

Finally decided to purchase darimo products.
Just received my ellipse handlebar however I've got this nick / indentation. Totally unexpected for a premium product.
Darimo told me it's safe to ride.
What are your thoughts guys?

It's probably as he says, question is if you accept a new bar with this? I wouldn't!

glossy ud finish of darimo products has its quirks unfortunately - mine have simillar inperfections but i live with that as it is a penalty that you pay for the low weight. It is still better that a flaky glossy coat on thm clavicula se that started to fall off after approx 1kkm. For me it is a lesson learned if you want lowest weight carbon parts - go for a matte ones ;-)

If the bar tape covers the imperfection i wouldn't worry about it, but if not i would send them back as it would drive me mad looking at it every time I went for a ride.

Well spotted! Weight still matters... need something to offset the added weigh of the SRM crankset and disc brakes

Hey guys.

I've changed my Berk round rail saddle to oval now I can't get the Dyneema loops over the barrels on my Darimo post.

Has anyone else encountered this problem. Obviously the rails are now 2mm bigger as its oval but i would have assumed both saddles would have worked with the loops.

Darimo has said he will make some for me but asked how much longer I want them.

Would you say an extra 5mm would be ok.

Cheers.

Can you show some photos? I never had any rope length issues with T1 and tall rail saddles, Saevid Alien or Lupina.

I installed a Darimo seatpost with Dyneema loops last week.
I also have a Berk with oval rails, and I managed to install it without issues.
I used the rubber bands to aid the installation.

I had no problem installing the round saddle and used the bands as per instructions but just couldn't pull the Dyneema over the barrel.
Dont think i made a mistake as I've installed the old saddle quite a few times but I'll certainly try again tomorrow just to double check things.
Thanks for the replies.
