I’m in the process of upgrading my current bike, cannondale SuperSix evo 54cm, To a Pinarello F10. I have read a lot about Pinarello sizing but I’m a bit confused about it. My height is 5’8.5” and inseam 33”. Current saddle height is 75.5cm, using a 100mm stem, 10cm saddle to handlebar drop and I feel good on the cannondale, I’m thinking about getting a 51.5 Pinarello F10 with a 110-120mm stem or a 53cm with same 100mm stem.
I want to listen some experts opinions before I make the purchase.

I'm 6"3" and ride a 58 Felt F1. I had an opportunity to spend a few months on a Dogma F10, size 55. While it was clearly too small, if this was the only size offered I would have taken it in a heartbeat.
I was told by the disributor to go one size smaller than my current bike, so I purchased an F10, size 56. Been on it for a 3 or 4 months now. Complete perfection.

I am 5’7” and have a 50cm F10 with a 110mm stem -8 deg. and no spacers. It is quite racy in terms of position but this is what I wanted.
As Pinarello has many available sizes you will certainly have the choice between 2 sizes (or maybe even 3). Take the one which is most appropriate for your riding style and fitness level. For example a smaller frame in order to get lower and have a better aero position if this is what you want and can ride.

Id email a few places and get some opinions... it would suck to drop that amount of $ to find the size is wrong.. I made that mistake going from a Prince SL Aluminum to a Paris Carbon way back in 2005.. got the same size and the thing was HUGE... racycles sells Pinarello.. before I got my Tarmac I was looking at an F10.. was thinking going smaller size with 56, but all the shops I talked with said def 57.5
Yes definitely check first the fitting depending on the frame size!
Before I bought my F10 I went to the LBS and mimic the different sizes on a Retül bike together with different stem length etc....in order to be 100% sure to have the right size. Even if I am biking between 10.000 km and 15.000 km per year in the last 30 years and have therefore quite a long experience with bikes, the theory only with calculating the stack and reach doesn’t work 100%...
There is indeed no point to have a nice frame if it just fits 90%...and you can only find the right size if you try the different sizes (except if the differences in sizes are huge. But Pinarello offers a large selection of sizes and that will be stupid not to take advantage of it).
And comparing to the size of another frame is usually worthless as the stack, reach, seat tube angle etc...are usually different etc...

I ride a 51.5 cm Pinarello F10. I am 5’8.5” with a saddle height of 73.3 cm, 110 mm stem, and a saddle-handlebar drop of 8.5 cm. I have 1.5 cm spacers under the stem.

I am curious, that's why i ask.
I was told to go for size 55 from my dealer. I am 182.5cm.

What I meant is that when buying a new bike/ frame it is always a good idea to check if a size smaller or larger would be better. Your fitness/ flexibility may have changed. The new frame may offer a larger variety of size than the current frame. Etc...A text ride with the different sizes would of course be the best option. I personally used a Retül bike to mimic the different sizes together with different stem length etc...

I was about to mimic Open UP and Ax Vial EVO.
Only thing same same, is Ergon seatpost and ISM PN 3.1 and 3.0 saddles.
Saddle height is not same, perhaps due to stack of pedals and shoes.
Distance saddle to BB, BB to handlebar is different.
Both still feels spot on and strangely, not different!?
UP uses Lauf fork, in thery this route frame 4mm backwards and shorten reach 4mm.
Vial Evo should be 12mm longer in reach, use same length stem on both bikes.
Handlebar specs, is 10mm longer for Vial EVO compared to UP.
In theory, this is strange and should feel very off!
Anyway, that is why i told you i was curious of your findings.

Hello Brid, I'm looking at the same bike in size 55. I'm 6'2" with 34" inseam. The effective top tube for size 55 is 557mm vs 565mm for 56. I usually go with 120mm stem but could go 130mm to make up the difference. I'm more concerned about the 158mm headtube on 55 which is rather racy. Did some research, looks like Wiggins and Froome both ride size 56 Dogmas.
Wiggins 6'3" 14.5cm stem, 170mm cranks, saddle height 83.5cm, reach 60cm.
Froome 6'1" 120cm stem, 175mm cranks, saddle height 79.5cm, reach 55cm.
Setting the saddle height on both envie and f10 to 78cm and using130cm stems gives me 60cm reach on f10 and 58cm on the envie.
I think size 55 will fit me ok unless I missed something?
