Hi All,

Looking for opinions and insight as I'm struggling with making a decision between which bike to build. Would really appriciate your thoughts!

Riding Style:
I ride 2-3 times a week (100-200km a week) in Ontario, Canada (March-October). Mostly flat, mild hills and occassionally some modest hill climbing + participate in 2-3 grand fondos and 1-2 sprint triathlons a year.

Bike Build:
I’m looking to build a bike over the next couple months and have narrowed it down to two frames.

Option 1:
Wilier Cento 10 NDR (DISC)
- SRAM RED E-TAP
- SRAM Red HRD flat-mount (Can someone confirm if this is the correct mount type for this frame?)
- Mavic Cosmic Carbon Disc UST Wheels
- 28mm Tires

PROS:
- Aero
- Rare (haven’t seen any in person here in Toronto, Canada)
- Lighter than the Roadmachine

Option 2:
BMC Roadmachine 01 (DISC)
- SRAM RED E-TAP
- SRAM Red HRD flat-mount (Can someone confirm if this is the correct mount type for this frame?)
- Mavic Cosmic Carbon Disc UST Wheels
- 28mm Tires

PROS:
- Lots of good reviews
- More comfortable then the Wilier?
- Great looking frame

Questions:
- Has anyone road both bikes and can provide their opinion?
- I’ve seen SRAM Red E-TAP and Discs on the Wilier. Are their issues mounting them on the Roadmachine?
- Would I notice a big difference in one bike being faster than the other?
- Which one would you want to ride?

Thank you!

If the roads in Ontario are as crappy as they are here in Quebec, go for the comfortable option. Comfort over exclusivity any day. Plus, getting service (warranty, parts, etc.) might be more complicated too...

I'm no help on the bike questions because I've ridden neither but, where abouts in Ontario? I'm in Barrie myself.

I'm in the GTA (Mississauga/Toronto).

The NDR is definitely more comfortable. Also better if you don’t intend to have a race position with a slammed stem etc....

I have a BMC Roadmachine 01 with SRAM Red etap, custom build.

Yes it is flat mount, the bike was one of the first to meet all the modern disc "standards" such as they are, e.g. 12mm thru axle, totally hidden cabling, flat mount etc. 160 or 140 rotors when developed a couple of years ago.

For me I like the fit, quite cusomisable. Bike is really stiff..if I have a minor criticism it is a little bit too stiff at the front. I'm running 28cm tubeless at around 60/65psi.

All being said I'm super pleased with it, brings a grin whenever I ride it.

Will post pics to intro gallery soon.
