Thanks mate - I'll update. Have you had any expercince with these parts? Weight isn't number one goal here. Asthetics and ride quality are the primary goal
The image link doesn't work so can't see the list.
I think a thread together BB is mandatory for CAAD 12. Haven't seen a CAAD12 without BB creak noise... sold mine and my friend is going to sell due to that problem.

Rikulau V9 DB Custom < BMC TM02 < Litespeed T1sl Disc < Giant Propel Advanced SL Disc 1 < Propel Adv < TCR Adv SL Disc < KTM Revelator Sky < CAAD 12 Disc < Domane S Disc < Alize < CAAD 10
And those little things add up quite quickly, especially if you just use whatever.

Do you have the CAAD12 Disc frame already? If not, I don't really recommend it on the basis of the rear QR alone.
I don't have the frame already. Please excusie my ignorance, by "QR" do you mean quick-release? Or quality ride? Or something else?TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Wed May 23, 2018 9:27 pmDo you have the CAAD12 Disc frame already? If not, I don't really recommend it on the basis of the rear QR alone.
Thanks for your input

He means quick release.
The current Caad12 has a through axle front and quick release rear.
I was put off by the quick release rear but then the deal got so good that I went ahead anyways. While it is quick release rather than through axle at the rear (and so in theory more likely to have rear disc alignment problems) I have not found that. I put it down to the alloy dropouts which are less likely to allow movement between the dropoust and the quick release than, say, a full carbon dropout.
Been fine so far.
Cheers

Just buildt up a Caad12 disk.
The build came stock with Ultegra Hydro Disk.
I've Replaced most of the parts in the hunt for that illusive weight of 7kg.
Shifters, Sram Red 22 Hydro Disk, Drivetrain Force 22.
Total 7950grams.
The next steps are:
Taxc Deva cages 45g x 2 change to Blackburn clinch 20g x 2
Aksiums 2.1kg to Zipp 303 Nsw 1.53 kg
Rubber tubes 125g x2 to tubelito 38g x2

I will give you better feed back next week after riding with better wheels, the Aksiums kill the ride to be honest.
The geometry is exactly the same as my HiMod so the fit is the same.
Three things I'm changing tonight is: Stock top cap and wedge to a Cannondales SI top cap and wedge with modificaions to fit 20g saving.
All the screws on stem and bottle cages to Ti. Stock gel bar tape to cork, 35g saving.
Another 50+ grams off.

Ok so I got my first race in on this bike today, Its an amazing bike the ride is responsive and now that we running 25mm tubless and the
comfort factor is not bad compared to the older days of 23mm tubbies & Caad 10.
I'm busy on a short video of this build I will post it this week.
