I'm currently using wr Compositi bars which are too heavy (254 grams) and I find there is too much of a downward ramp to the shifters. Ideally im looking for something under 170 grams for a 42cm c-to-c. Ideally I want very little if no ramp down to shifters to get comfy on the long climbs. Schmolke evo tlo seems the best match, any views?

All have a compact geometry. Reach on the haero is the shortest so this might exact stem length ( 70 vs 77/78). The haero is like a shorter ergonova. The thm is a clone of the current superergo. The haero has the deepest drop 130 vs 119/123. The thm and haero have flare, schmolke does not. I have had the haero for years and it is good and stiff enough but would probably prefer a bit more reach for hand comfort. Schmolke is the lightest.

I had no idea that THM did a handlebar, I can’t say I’ve even seen one on anyone’s build on here.

@dereksmalls THM just announced it probably no more than a month ago, no idea if they have even started shipping yet.

I have the Schmolke's on one bike [SL verson]....... Quality and finish are first rate but I have one complaint/dislike about them and that is they are damn fat up top for smallish hands. Also the channel for your cables is very shallow, for comfort I prefer my 3T Ergonovas. But would I but the Smolkes's again, no problem

Thanks everyone - I'm leaning towards the schmolke at the moment as it seems to have the flattest section to the shifters which is what I'm after. I also use schmolke shifter clamps as well and they should fit without scratching the lacquer.

I also have the schmolke shifter clamps and am using them on my THM TLO bars.....they have not scratched the lacquer at all.

Looks like Haero is in the same league as the others weight wise now, this is a 38cm bar from a friend:

Stiff enough to not feel discernable flex under normal riding load (unlike the 3T Ltd bars). But I'm 70kg and I don't ride my climbing bike aggressively in a bunch sprint.

The bar shape i like most is Lightweight Kompaktbügel.
But it's not light like the "handmade", and with that in the open, it's too darn expensive.
Haero H145RR (NOT SL version) is the best priced handlebar right now.
It's still very light at 180-185g pending on size, but made in Asia.
