Raised bar vs spacers

I think in general cyclists have polarized view of raised bar. You either like it or hate it. It all boils down to personal taste and preference. There is no right or wrong here.

According to Specialized the raised aerobars are more aero than flat, so there is that

Aerofly bars are more aero than 25mm in spacers sure. But flat bars and no spacers is even more aero. ;)

For looks, I'd choose whatever option leaves the stem close to parallel to the ground.

I know we shouldn't be fitting bikes based on looks. But sometimes (like this) there's a couple ways to go, so looks become a decision factor.

ride a bike only if that fits you without spacer.
