Anyone have any experience with Miche chainrings for Shimano 110 boot pattern? Shift quality, weight, anything? For non Shimano crank.

Miche No, but in Crankset 9000 I have used Specialites TA X110, and I have not noticed differences with the original Shimano

what is the reasoning behind using aftermarket rings? from what I've read these ones are slightly heavier :noidea:

I bought the crankset without rings......the original Shimano rings, rather more expensive and somewhat heavier......Aesthetically, the black TA with the silver of the cranks, is nice.....the trims are not so much, adapting some Rotor trims, it would be perfect

If I had a shimano crank without rings I'd probably get rotor q-rings. They are interesting and help to increase the cranks value.

Of course original rings would look the best and weigh less. If too expensive then q-rings or qxl.

Of course it's up to the OP to decide. Just brainstorming here...
