probably easier to view them as Aldhu30 and Aldhu24.

same goes with Vegast30 and Vegast24. crank arms need to match up with the assicaoted axle.

the axle is 30mm and 24mm. but unlike 30mm axle, 24mm only has one length and it's matching shimano axle length.

the bit that shares between the two system is the interface between axle and chainring/spider.
So I can swap the track 30 spider onto a 24?
the interface will work but chainline may be messed up. i did consider this setup previously when i saw some good deals on the internet but never got round to order it, so i cannot confirm it will definitely 100% work
Some say pour 10ml water out of your bottle to save that last bit of the weight. Sorry, i go one step further, i tend to the rider off my bikes.
n+1...14 last time i checked, but i lost count

I got a smashing midnight deal on 24 crankarms but haven’t decided what bike they will go on yet. Weight with the track spider doesn’t seem too competitive though I do need at least one track crankset

I bought an aldhu 24 and a mas aero spider and now realize going aero with aldhu is 100% pointless. Arms+spider+axle is about 600 grams. Rotor flow is 554 grams. Wtf rotor. Need a light weight dm aero chainring for this to not be pointless

600 grams??

What was the breakdown for the weight of the parts?
I thought they were...

crankarms: 260g crank arms
spider: 40g (this might be the non-aero one)
chainring: 160g
Axel: 100g
= ~560g not including PM

Doesn't he mean the alloy version? The Aldhu Carbon does not work with a 24mm axle does it?

If you compare the 24mm axle to the 30mm axle, the 30mm is much lighter.

Weights and aero analysis of the Rotor Aldhu carbon cranks here;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n1lLEL76Cc

I thought the 'aeroness' of the cranks would be important, but it seems not so much......a change of crank shape has a far bigger affect than surface area, and the cranks are usually moving, so at 3 and 9 o'clock, insignificant.

I've got a set of the ALdhu carbon on backorder here in the states. They called to let me know it would be awhile. Every time I've dealt with Rotor I've been impressed.

They did take the opportunity to tell me that lead times "weren't as bad as Shimano" and I appreciated that little dig.

Actually being able to reference a date puts them ahead of Shimano....

They changed up the graphics slightly on the alloy ALDHU, I don't see it pictured on their site. I think the machining is the same but I believe they only say ALDHU on the back of the arm and then it's a small "ROTOR" and their backwards "R" in another spot.

I've also got a set of Aldhu Carbon in 165 in backorder from Sigma here in the UK, in fact I instigated stocking them with their purchasing department, so will be first in line when they get them. They already have the 172.5 and 175 lengths in stock if that's what you are after: https://www.sigmasports.com/item/Rotor/ ... -Arms/T930

I checked with Rotor and confirmed that the carbon crank arms do not work with the 24mm axle. They did say that they "currently" do not work with them, so sounds like maybe they will be releasing the 24mm version in the future

Got an answer from Rotor that Aldhu InPower will never come. The weight (and price) penalty from Rotor's own InSPider is quite steep though. So all in all you will loose a lot the weight gain (100g) from the carbon to the InSpider configuration (60g heavier). A complete InPower set with direct mount Qrings costs about 630 euro @ RoseBikes and a complete set of Aldhu Carbon (390 euro) + InSpider (550 euro) + Direct Mount Q rings (160 euro) so a whopping 1000 euro  !
Even stranger I found this: https://bikerumor-wpengine.netdna-ssl.c ... -chart.jpg that does not seem like something Bikerumor has made themselves.....I think :?
