Looks great. 105 level disc bikes have been a sore spot with RS505 levers. They’ve dealt with that and given R7000 feature parity with R8000. Really a no-brainer if you’re looking for a $1500 bike.
With 105 Hydraulic DB confirmed, does it mean DB is in full speed to spread in 2018?

It's less "excited for what I'm/ they're going to buy" and more "interesting to see the improvements coming to mainstream bikes", which for some may bleed over into better rain/ beater/ commuter bikes. Or at least cheaper replacement parts for certain items.
And then, as mentioned, it carries implications for the pricing and availability of hydro discs.
It's sorta like saying "wow, that new Civic hatch looks kinda cool" when you drive a GX460. It's still academically interesting, even if you aren't going to buy it.
You need to know about the bottom line to be able to appreciate the top line. Hydro 105 is going to be on a ton of gravel bikes next year at very N+1 friendly price points.
Someone made the same comment a year ago when new ultegra 8000 was announcedrobertbb wrote:People getting excited about Shimano 105
True this forum is probably not the target market for 105 but never the less interesting to see trickle down tech into mainstream.
I have 9100 and 9000 on my bikes. But I might consider a 105 or ultegra disc brake build to see what all the hubbub is about without plunking down the cash on a dura ace setup.
