<t>Would you buy a 2017 model Giant Propel in 2018? Even on closeout prices?<br/>
<br/>
Or is the 5-year old frame design just too non-aero against more recent rivals, including the new Propel?<br/>
<br/>
The 2017 Dura Ace Di2 Advanced 0 SL model is on sale for £3.5k, against £9k for the new 2018 equivalent...</t>

Is the 2017 a disc model? If so, could you buy that and also a 2018 frame, move the components and wheel over, and sell the 2017 frame. Surely the 2018 frame doesn't cost 6K.

Edit: Well it seems Giant doesn't sell just the frame in the UK. Nor was the 2017 a disc bike. So, just ignore what I wrote above.

I just did. I already have a disc bike and wanted an aero bike. If you can justify the price for the latest and greatest or want disc then I guess that’s for you to decide but for me it wasn’t worth double the price.

Sorry, 2016 but same thing. It was a used frameset that I built up.

I don't see why you shouldn't buy it at that kind of price... The older frame still makes for a very handy bike!
