No at 5'11 you'd be on a 53 or max 54 Pinarello Dogma.

It's not an amazing price. Jedi Sports in Germany has a red/white Dogma Xlight 970 for 4599 Euros in Size 55 and a white Dogma 685 in 56 for 3449 Euros. Other colours for 3449 Euros in smaller sizes. At this point I think the price is too high.

edit: also Dogma F10 Team Sky for 3899 Euros Dogma F100 Giro 4599 Euros. Both size 55.

At 5'9 you are the 53cm or the 54cm. the 55cm is a little big. '

$4500 is a fair price, we closed the last F8's out at less than that but there are none left so it's a fair deal.

Might be better to get a deal on a F10 in the right size, the Team Sky Black are on sale.

A 55cm Dogma F8 has a 389mm reach and 561mm of stack. A lot of typical 5'11" Pinarello buyers would probably fit that better than a 53/54cm. Let's face reality, tons of Pinarello buyers aren't flexible and/or don't have strong cores. I could see many running a 90mm stem and spacers underneath just to get a more upright position even on a 55cm.

I am 174 cm tall and have a saddle height of 73.3 mm. I have/had a 65.1, F8, and F10 all in size 51.5. I run a 110 mm stem with 8.0 cm handlebar drop and have 1.5 cm spacers under the stem.

Size is dependent on the person's anatomy and comfort. Ideally you want a bike fitter to assess it. You need to find the correct balance that works for you. The problem going too small is you need to be more flexible and possibly fit, the problem going big on the frame is the negative impact it has on handling. If you go bigger frame and shorter stem, less of your weight is on the front wheel which can have an effect on putting pressure on the front wheel when cornering. Also the bike will feel less stable and more twitchy. Some crit racers for example prefer that feeling of nimbleness from a shorter stem. So, as you can see nothing is set in stone. Everyone has to decide themselves.

I would still suggest going size 53 max at 5'9. If you can, try to at least sit on a 53 and a 51.5.

AFAIK Jedi Sports ships world wide, so google the website and shoot them an email for an offer. I have nothing negative to say regarding Glory Cycles. Love looking at their builds posted on Flickr. 4500$ however is not a great price. Not terrible either, but I'm sure 4000$ would be a great compromise for everyone.

First of all, height is a really poor indicator of fit... I'm 5'9" and ride a 55 with a 130 steam... the reach is absolutely ideal for me. I have a friend that's 5'11" a he's on a 53cm with a 110 stem, the fit is perfect for him.

I agree, audiojan. I am 171cm (5'7.5") tall and ride a 50cm Paris (the head tube is slightly longer than the same sized Dogma, so I would probably] fit better on a 51.5 Dogma) with a 120mm stem, just over 9cm of drop.

Someone offered a 54cm for a killer price. Not sure if I'll swap components or build up.
