Chainstay direct mount brakes: best option ?

Looks like I'll be dealing with Chainstay direct mount rear brakes next season, on the Felt FR bikes.
Cycling Tips doen't give a good review of that rear brake system. .. :?
They even changed for an EE direct mount rear, but didn't seem to think the braking was good...

So my question is:
Owners with chainstay direct mount equipped bikes: What's the best rear brake option ?
Thanks for your insights :beerchug:

I don't own them, but have worked on a lot of them. Dura Ace 9100 is your best bet.

I only can speak for the EE brake which I used on my Merida.
The braking was alright, my only problem is that I had to leave the brake pads much more wide than usual due to some flex.
Otherwise once mounted, everything worked ok.

I've had pretty good luck with FSA non series direct mount brakes on the chainstay. They use a cam so you can keep the pads well away from the rim to cut down on pad rub, and they have enough power to lock the rear wheel when braking hard. Not the lightest in the world but I don't care.

Ee in such an exposed area hurts to think about. Like putting them in mud and blasting them with sand.

Chances are the brakes put here will need servicing/replacement much quicker than normally mounted ones. If cash is burning in your pocket go ahead.

@alcatraz; do you want to see my 2 years old rear EE brake to check the condition? Because I can't see any sanding.

Yeah? That's great. Are they powdercoated or anodized?
