Front yes, rear no. I guess this is because chainstays vary in thickness so you have to get the appropriate length to pass through and seat in the caliper.

Will a chorus 12s front mech work with 11 speed shifters? I have 11 speed HO chainset and all components but not yet bought front mech and 12s is readily available cheap

I used a 12 speed Record front mech with my H11 shifters. It kept dropping the chain from big to small ring. Managed to get an 11 speed one on Ebay and the problem disappeared. The compatibility letter is A on the 11 and FG on the 12. It seems they don't play well together,

I was looking around for campy 12-speed eps disc pictures to see if there is a hack for sprint shifting blibs like Shimano/SRAM since I'm moving to campy soon. Last time I used capy was the first-gen 11 speed.

What are these, they look a bit like the Ekar downshifter?

Probably the ugliest hooks in Campagnolo history. There are lots of discussions around disc vs rim brake (aerodynamics, weight, power), but almost nobody talks about the aesthetic side: disc brakes make a bike very, very ugly. On the hooks, Campagnolo and Sram are horrendous

Did a SR12 mechanical build. It's amazing, and my first new gruppo since Record 10. One issue though:

The shifters can move a little bit on the bars by hand force. A mechanic friend tightened them as tight as he said he dared and they can still move. May or may not be an issue during a hard out of the saddle effort. Haven't experienced this issue before. It's been suggested that if it is an issue, maybe some silicon tape where the shifters contact the bars. Bars are 3T Ergonova LTD Stealth carbon. Anyone experience that or solve it?

Use some tape where the clamps are, you could also try a generous amount of carbon paste.

What have you torqued them to?

I had the exact same experience with Potenza 11. I couldn't solve it with the 3T bars, I think the combination is just slippery. I got different bars. That said, I think that chromed steel loop round the bars is ripe for a redesign. With Campag now heading off-road there are often big impacts of hands onto ergos.

This is highly subjective, I prefer looks of disc brake bike to a rim brake.
- Less exposed cabling
- No brake surface on rims
- Dont like look of rim brake calipers

See? Highly subjective

I can't get my torque wrench in there but they're pretty well torqued and a mechanic I had look at it didn't want to torque it any further either. He did suggest trying silicon tape.

Interesting. I too thought it was just a bad combination for the clamp design. Wondering if custom carbon clamps I've seen would do better, carbon on carbon. Not sure though if someone has made them for SR12.

Just out of curiosity, what bars are you using?
Some thin tape could be enough to give that little extra grip.

3T Ergonova LTD Stealth carbon bars. I'm also thinking a little tape would do the trick. We'll see.

Don't put anything under the steel band that wraps around the bar, all that does is provide a new surface to slip on. It is worth trying to add friction where the body of the shifter bears against the handlebar.

The item must be very new because the picture is of an 11 speed and I see Shimano on the lockring......so I've sent them an email asking to verify that all cogs are Ti (not a mix of Ti and ALuminum) and that pictures of an actual 12 speed are forthcoming.

Could anyone kindly recommend a great set of handlebars that have the right holes in the rights places (oh dear!) for the V4 interface and which is not Deda please? love Deda but I have a 31.8mm stem and all Deda handlebars are annoyingly 31.7mm I believe. Thanks very much for any help, pointers ir advice.
