Not weird at all, when shipping outside the EU, Merlin shows prices without VAT/GST added, that accounts for the difference you see.

Someones probably covered this allready but why does 2019 record have holes in the levers in some photos while in others they are totally smooth? seems very inconsistant and I even noticed this on campags wepage.

I think the disc levers have the hole and the rim brake levers don't.

I'm not sure which holes you are thinking about.
Disc shifters have one hole on each brake lever to adjust the reach. Mechanical brakes levers do not have these holes.
Super Record has additional holes for weight reduction (and the looks).

Campy Record 11 vs 12 brake clearance, its the same in my case, 12 is no better.

I was hoping Campy 12 brakes would give me more clearance on my F8 with Veloflex Vlaanderen 27mm tubulars, but they do not.

the brake still has more clearance hence the brake pad is not all the way down, your limitation is the brake mounting spot

In both the pictures, the brake isn't connected to the cable so it's hard to tell how much clearance you have either way.

I believe that Calnago has posted about having an extra mm of clearance with a non-series Campagnolo caliper.

For the non belivers, both brakes held closed on 28mm rim, of course you may have different results with another frame and tires.

Yes the bridge is a bit on the low side on the F8, but I do have a set of brakes that clear 27mm tubs fine . I was just hoping to keep it all Campy and I was hoping the 12s would provide more clearance than 11s but they dont, not in this case.

I posted some time ago about the Chorus calipers having a bit more clearance than either Record or Super Record, but KarlC is correct. The newest Record/SR standard mount brakes actually have slightly less clearance than the prior version, when mounted in the same holes in the frame. It’s really dependent on the frame mounting position as to how much clearance will be available. If you want loads of clearance, and this goes for either Shimano or Campagnolo, then go disc. The calipers are certainly capable of clearing 28mm tires but the mounting position on the frame is also a variable and will really dictate how much clearance you ultimately have, so it’s possible you won’t clear 28’s depending on the frame they’re mounted on. I haven’t written in detail about it yet but I will.

For the non belivers,

I raised this point 11 months ago in this same thread. I used to be able to ( just barely) run Vlaanderen tubs, no more with the 12s brakes. Old ones were 2015 Record. So for me they had less clearance. I could dremel the arm a bit without weakening anything but at the same time I went back to smaller tubs (27 are nice and pillowy but I think I like the feel of 25 more) . The pad washers could be thinned by about 1mm, it might make a visible improvement too.

Yes I got a Potenza group there for $632 delivery included 3 day UPS back in December
