Campagnolo 12-Speed

Possibly of interest to other Campag 12 speed riders, a brief review of the Recon 12spd Campag cassette:
Ordered one from Total Cycling as couldn’t get hold of a Campag one and quick delivery to note, weight saving is good for the 12-29 at 203g over my SR12 at 271g (11-29 pictured) as well as for me better gearing as I rarely used 52/11.
The web description did note that it required a Shimano fit cassette tool, however mine is certainly a Campag fit tool - maybe a running spec change.
Overall performance after the first 1000miles or so is very encouraging. This thing is a work of art to be honest with the amount of material that is NOT there, so much so that you can see your freehub splines through the middle of it.
Shifting is certainly as good as my SR12 cassette, and running is noticeably quieter than a Campag cassette as I found either SR12 or CH12 cassettes sometimes noisy across the range.
Wear so far is good despite the lower weight and minimal approach and again, despite being pretty meticulous in changing chains I found that Campag 12spd cassettes wore quicker than my previous 11spd ones.
Overall very pleased so far, I was a little nervous about its performance but for me the actual performance of it is as good if not better than my SR12 cassette with the lower weight being an added bonus
For some reason I didn’t realise that it would be SO gold though, the finish is growing on me!
So far well recommended, will update if it falls apart...

How does the freehub body hold up? (Probably a whole lot better than I thought at first.)

@Guevarca, on what wheels did you put it on?
I bought one (although being Edco it should be exactly the same) few months ago and it would fit only Campagnolo wheels freehub, but not the one on my LW set.
By the way, my cassette was 197 gramms, in 12/29.

Freehub body is still fine so far ( on a set of Bora WTO 45s) and due to the lack of material in the centre I was expecting shifting to not be as precise as couldn’t imagine the cassette being overly stiff. So far it seems to work very well, so fingers crossed it continues!
Stiff enough then. My rethink: It offers less contact area on the big sprockets but more on the small ones compared to the Campag SR. Better distribution, alas, and good for those 1800 W sprints we dish out all the time.
I seem to be getting considerable cassette-on-spline (Reynolds freehub body) creaking from the recon in the very low gears. That particular sound was getting quite bad one series of rides before I switched to the Campagnolo lockring and truly horrible when I left out the washer, that's why I assume that it's cassette-on-spline movement.
I wonder if effective lockring pressure might be limited by flex between the driveside and the non-driveside ends of the spline contacts: regular cassettes have a continuous stack of material in the grooves, the recon only two separate legs and they might flex a bit under the load from the lockring?

Hello a little help is needed.
I've EEWINGS and a Sigeyi spider and want to upgrade from SR11v 2017 to SR12s so what chainrings do you recommend in 110mm 5 bolts... that are compatible with this group.
On my current setup im using Absolute Black 52/36 oval... that have a small compromisse in 52/11 combination... the chain rubs on FD external plate.

Any new rumors re: Campy wireless drivetrains in the works? These were heavily intimated as the successor to EPS last year nad some nice patent drawings of rear derailleurs floated around for a bit, but it has been quiet as a mouse for some time. Anyone?
• A hi-zoot bike, pretty sweet
• An old bike, more fun than the new one actually
• Unicycle, no brand name visible

There was a topic recently talking of new possible EPS groupset or new Campagnolo in general but basically not any real info.
This may sound silly but is that SR cassette considered worn already? How many km's you have got out of it? I'm looking to get a SR cassette as sapres but thinking to just go for a Chorus 12 one if SR 12 cassette wear rate is rather bad. (Price difference is £160 v.s. £210.) I'm intrigued by the idea of an one-piece cassette but I can't stand the gold finish (apparently there are other colours available?), a bit too much for me..Guevarca wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 3:09 pmPossibly of interest to other Campag 12 speed riders, a brief review of the Recon 12spd Campag cassette:

I had a SR cassette wear quite quickly (although I can't say exactly how many km it had because it came with a demo bike). I went with a Chorus one for my new one. Functionality wise I don't see any difference.Llanberis wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 9:49 amThis may sound silly but is that SR cassette considered worn already? How many km's you have got out of it?
