Well I just asked them about this graphics redesign again and was told they don't plan it at all (at the moment). Confused. :-D

12 Speed EPS part numbers are in campy's price list for 2019 now, and on Jbi.bike they are listed now as well http://www.jbi.bike/site/search_result. ... s=eps%2012, you can see v4 battery etc, just no images yet.

Question, go with 11speed eps right now or wait till 12speed eps?

Is this - SHIFTER CPY EPS BATTERY V3 POWER UNIT 12s and this - SHIFTER CPY EPS INTERFACE FOR V3 12s inferring that the existing V3 power unit and interface are compatible with EPS 12 speed? Or am I reading it wrong?

looks like it, in their official it says v3/v4, https://www.campagnolo.com/media/files/ ... -07-18.pdf i'm sure they used same power motors for 12sp eps. Never had EPS, but heard people say it's already the strongest motors, it only would make sense... Speculation at this point, would be cool to hear from dealers here or whoever has jbi account about the ETA for release date.

What's even more strange for 2019, there is only Super Record 12 speed EPS in Disc Brake version, all others are Mech. weirddd.

JBI doesn't say any release date, just "coming soon" as per insider... Now, this last part numbers:

IF19-12EPS - EPS Interface V3 12s
AC19-BCEPS - EPS Charger Kit for Power Unit V3 12s

They have me worried/confused. Could it be a version 3 (a new, different version) of the interface and battery charger itself?
The current ones are in their 2nd iterations... I mean, the interface and charger has only changed twice, since EPS came around.

EPS is currently on its third iteration as far as the Power Unit & Interface are concerned.

12 Speed EPS has a totally different product code and is designated V4.

Looks like there is a new charger too which is designated v3 as there have been 2 chargers, v1 for the external battery and v2 for the v2 & v3 batteries.

The only parts that carry over to 12 speed look to be the power cables for the charger and the mounting kits, be they post or bottle cage type.

Also looks like there is only Super Record version of 12 speed EPS. Record carries on as 11 speed.

I'm all for a new charger plug. I have never ruined one [yet], but it certainly is something you need to careful with. A mini USB would be great.

I’m waiting for V4 so can hopefully hide the interface in the bar end. For me personally I would not be happy with v3 on new bike—although I’m very happy with V3 on 2 of my bikes.

Off topic to 12 speed, but just installing Super Record 11s on my Sagan Camo Tarmac SL5 and what a joy it is to install this stuff... the wire routing was a joke using the Campag magnetic took.. just dragged it through the frame, popped everything out at the appropriate exit.. think it took 6 minutes to route the derailleurs and the DTI cable.. the biggest pain so far has been trying to fish the Di2 wiring out of the frame LOL

Well, you know... ParkTool (IL-1.2) has a cable guide kit for Shimano that seems a bit nicer than the one sold by Campy. However, like everything, practice makes maestry. I can get a V2, V3 Campy battery installed in about 10 mins. Routing the cables another 15 depending on how weird the frame is.

@wheelsONfire
I didn't precisely measure 11s and 12s chains myself, but when Campagnolo released the 12-speed they claimed they didn't have to make the chain plates any thinner, only the pins are slightly narrower (by about 10%). And that such change should make the chain a little stronger and that the chain offers at least the same durability... Something like that.
This is broadly correct - tear down an 11s & a 12s link and measure the link plates.
Rivets and roller design are different however, as is the bushing design.
The difference that allows the narrower chain is in the chainring tooth design and the thinner sprockets used in 12s ...

Except that the USB spec is only good for 5v / 1A.

There are USB Power Delivery high power standards which allow up to 20V/5A via USB (20V/3A via Micro-USB), however it's true that their implementations aren't widespread yet and shouldn't be relied upon much.
