That should be the smallest sprocket otherwise you will never get to the point that the distance between the chain and the rocker will be 10-15mm. Please also look at the picture in the Campa manual.

I don't have EPS but I found that the easy way of determine the chain length of Campa works. So I guess this also applies to EPS groups.

This is due to the fact that EPS and mechanical rear mechs are completely different in that the mechanical mechs sit behind the hanger and EPS sits more below the hanger. Campy calls it something but I don't remember what it is. Before they placed the mechs behind the hanger, the method to determine chain length was the same across the line.
