On my last SR12 build I did the 405mm chainstays and measured 110 links for determining chain length. It just seemed too long so I went to my tried and true method. Does everyone on here just stick with Campy's suggestion based on chainstay length?

My super record EPS 12 occasionally shifts the chain over the large chainring. It only happens once in a while but I don't get why

And you're sure that you're outer limit is not slightly too wide? Sounds like it since a tiny bit more force can send your chain over the big ring.MrCurrieinahurry wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 12:48 pmMy super record EPS 12 occasionally shifts the chain over the large chainring. Yes maybe it just seems perfect 99% of the time so I don't get why with electronic it sometimes doesn't play nicelyrollinslow wrote:And you're sure that you're outer limit is not slightly too wide? Maybe try cleaning and lubing the front derailleur. Perhaps grit inside is not allowing it to move smoothly consistently.MrCurrieinahurry wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 1:01 pmYes maybe it just seems perfect 99% of the time so I don't get why with electronic it sometimes doesn't play nicelyrollinslow wrote:And you're sure that you're outer limit is not slightly too wide? Usually happens to me when I'm trying to shift at the front under low speed and high torque, and/or shifting the rear at the same time.

Currently, I'm just waiting for a custom-made frame and I've already completed the Campagnolo group. I have a question - where can I buy, if Ican buy at all, the gear cable? So far, I have only seen in the Maximum Smoothness kit, and I would like to buy only the gear cable.
I'm having a problem with the rear derailleur of my SR EPS. Until yesterday everything was working fine, but now effectively the indexing has shifted 1 gear up; it only goes down till the 12t (while indicating it as the 11t in the app) and if I shift up completely it throws the chain off the casette. It is like the system remembered incorrectly the last position and now everything moved up 1 gear. Should I just re-index or can I shift / correct the indexing by 1 gear in some easier way?
Unlike the Ultra Low Friction kit which supplied both brakes and derailleurs, the The Maximum Smoothness kit is derailleurs only. Welcome to the age of hydraulic brakes, prices habe been adjusted for your convenience.Shmitt wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 7:34 pmCurrently, I'm just waiting for a custom-made frame and I've already completed the Campagnolo group. (Or did you mean something else by "only the gear cable"? Inners only are listed in a very small number of online shops on the entire Google index, but the price will drive you back to the full kit. I'm currently on the highest grade Jagwire and I'm undecided about a noticeable difference)
As far as I know these Maximum Smoothness inners are not available separately.
To replace a cable which frayed I bought a 'normal' Campy inner gear cable for the RD, to use with a Maximum Smoothness outer. Works fine.
I think Jagwire make a 'lower friction' Campy compatible gear cable, which may be good too.

I believe you set the limit electronically and move the front derailleur on a sub mm scale to get your limit.

Sorry, my fingers didn't type what my brain was telling them. What I meant was whether EPS 12 has an upper limit that you can set? The only adjustment on EPS 11 is basically the inner limit.rollinslow wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 1:34 amI believe you set the limit electronically and move the front derailleur on a sub mm scale to get your limit.
