Decided to pull the jockey wheel apart to clean and also picked the seals off to fully clean out the bearings. Shaking the excess water out after I'd cleaned it all and the whole inside of the jockey wheel fell out and all the bearings magically disappeared! :noidea: I suspect that all of them somehow slipped in between the decking area I shook it on. So rather than me fork out the near £50 for replacement jockey wheels does anyone know the size of bearing that goes in there??? The numbers on the seal of the bearing come up with nothing at all and searching specifically for the bearing size gives me nothing.

FWIW, you can buy Tacx wheels with ceramic bearings for around $25.

There are bearings in Campag jockey wheels? All I've ever seen in there is a brass bushing.

That's all the cheap ones have in them, the record/super record have ceramic ball bearings in the bottom jockey wheel, top one is the standard brass bushing

Also C-Bear probably has some since they are sponsoring the Lotto Soudal team, who are riding Campagnolo

One of my SR derailers has a ceramic bushing and a ceramic bearing. I believe the lower one has the bearing.

Managed to answer my own question :smartass: the diameter of these bearings is 2mm should anyone do the same idiotic job of losing them. Replacements only seem available from the far east via eBay but just £4.57 for a pack of 20 somewhat better than buying a new set of jockey wheels. Just got to wait ages for delivery

I don't have the jockey wheels, but I'm very pleased with the C-Bear ceramic bottom bracket. :) It is a rock solid vendor to go with ...
