New TT Bike from Wilier on Paris Nice : Turbine ?
Moderator: robbosmans
Direct Energie riders have a new TT bike from Wilier on Paris Nice : https://www.matosvelo.fr/index.php?post ... ct-energie
The name seems to be TURBINE, but not sure it's the final commercial name. Only with disc brakes.

What do you think about disc brakes on TT bikes ? In France, there is lot of debate about disc brakes on road bikes.

The funny thing is, disc brakes have a better chance of success on TT bikes because they don't need to be light and they don't need quick wheel changes. Braking doesn't matter much anyway.
So my bet is to expect more disc TT bikes and fewer disc race bikes.

As TT bikes get more and more integrated, and with increasingly more awkward cable runs, it makes sense to have a hydraulic system over a sticky cable set up, regardless of whether discs are actually needed for performance.
It's like di2- a godsend for the modern tt bike!
