I have a matte finish black bike and I like having one that doesn't scream HEY LOOK AT ME.
Hey, you are wearing a Ferrari Red shirt in your pic!
This picture?

I got it for free from the bike shop.

If I was not wearing any cloths, it would be HEY LOOK AT ME ;)
:-) Great! Black shirt on a hot day is bad, and the jersey matches the highlights.

blacked out, murdered out. whatever.

i have 3 bikes all black, who's counting? the main reason why all my bikes are black is because my wife won't notice another blacked out, stealth bike.
i'm certain if i have a white bike, a red one or one that has lots of graphics on it...i would get alot of flack for having one too many bikes. with all black bikes,
i can safely move one around, work on one while riding the other and do anything within reason...without arousing any suspicion regarding having too many bikes.

plus, with low light in the basement...the third black bike is hidden, stealh-like in the darkness.

i don't really care what color it is, but after surviving my 4th bike, 3 of which are black...i'm not going back.

Hey if you can't be "pro" you can at least look "pro".

The red on the Emonda frame matches the red on the Sram Red and the red on the 303's. Just enough so it's no all black. Wasn't planned and just worked out that way.

The black/stealth thing has been around for some years now. IMO black is just more "durable". My eyes grow tired of looking at the bike, if there's too much going on colorwise. Black just always looks good, but if you want something, that stands out, you need something else than black.

personally i don't like black bikes. i think they're devoid of personality, but more than that. dangerous to ride in the early and late hours. i want a bike that's easy to see. it's dangerous out there sometimes

What a stupid comment- I have murdered out and dark bikes and wear mostly black kit. I ride pre-dawn often returning around sunrise. Do you know why I have had zero issues? Maybe because I use lights?

Not lucky... I say smart.

I have a Bontrager Flair R taillight and a Bontrager Ion 100 headlight.

Your jersey and bibs provide much more surface area than the frame of a road bike.

Let’s face it- riding in Sydney is a nightmare regardless of the colour of your kit. The 400 lumen rear light does help!

My previous bikes have always been plain single colour and i felt like i got bored of the colour very quickly. Maybe because i was following the trend around that time.

My current bike is all black now with blue CK headset. Thats enough colour for me and maybe i will get bored by it one day but i dont mind as i know black is timeless.

Yes! Good point

3K is so rad- thats how Carbon should look. UD just looks like plastic.

What has happened to all the 3K anyway? It used to be so much more abundant.
