I just got my 2012 Trek Madone (the pre-aero model) back from the LBS where I upgraded from Ultegra 6770 to 6870. I had them fit an internal battery as well after having external battery mounts fail from the perpetually wet British roads.
However I'm now left with a gaping hole through to my bottom bracket where the battery mount used to sit. Does anyone know of a good way to plug up this hole? I feel like I'll be going through a lot of bearings if I don't address it.

How about using some silicon based putty like Sugru to plug up the holes?
