Is anyone using a Power2Max power meter with a SRM PC8? If so, do you do the zero offset the same as if using an SRM PowerMeter?

The zero offset of the P2M is done automatically and regularly (as soon as you are pedaling for 3 seconds if I recall it right).

If it's the latest NG type then you don't need to zero offset. Spin the cranks wakes it up and get riding. As simple as it gets.

I'm curious which algorithm P2M uses.

I rarely need to zero offset my Pioneer power meter as well, there is some automatic compensation approach there as well. :-)

I ride for 3 years now with this setup and is the first time i am thinking to change to like something 820 but I don’t know if it is real reason or no.

I don’t have any problem but maybe only for more options at garmin but from the other side I love pc8 especially at intervals

I am really confused hahahaha

Pc8 or 820 ???

Garmin sucks, save yourself the pain and stay with PC8

PC8 is an effective training tool. Enough visible windows but if you prefer 20 windows of a Garmin then go for it.

But the garmin, and I'm talking 510 and 520 that I have and i doubt the 820 is any different, then you can customise it to as many or few screens as you like and then as many pages as you like. Without looking at it i think it's 4 (or might be 5) is the minimum and as many as 10 bits of data on screen at any one time. As long as your eyesight is up to it! It's totally customisable in every way. I just can't believe the price of the PC8 that other than the bigger screen isn't giving me anything that isn't 1/4 of the price elsewhere. If you don't already own one I'd just go Garmin or any of the other equivalent models that are in that sub £200ish bracket.

If you have the new Di2 shifters then you can customize the upper buttons with the Garmin screens.

The last place I saw the ability to change crank arm length was on the EXAKT software

I have an issue, it is possible to see wrong numbers from p2m ?
I say that because of the different protocol between PC8 and p2m
