Deda bar setup?

Hi

Looking for some input, haven’t used Deda bars before. Always had 3T Aeronova.

Are these bars setup the correct way, hood placement and the rotation on the bar itself.

I have the “drop” the same angle as the stem.

Image

It would seem, the transition from the tops to the hood isn’t level, but then hoods would be to high for me if it was.

Any input?

Thanks
Luke

The correct setup is the one that you like and that works for you.

Deda RHMs work better with Campy. But, here's my preference with Shimano, which looks close to your set up. (the photo angle makes the levers look more upright):

Thanks

I know its all about the fit and whats comfortable, but when reading about this bars people commented about there transition from tops to hoods.

I dont like the look and the fit of the hoods in the higher position.

I seeing mainly if it looked the correct position, as I was told its slightly wrong.

Thanks
Luke

I quite like these bars with the bars rotated so that the bottom of the drops is parallel with the ground. I then set up my hoods with a 1 degree angle up. Of course you should set your hoods at an angle you like, but at least with the bars set up like this I find that there's plenty of hand positions in the drops, and good support for the wrists.

From your photo it looks like the bottom of the drops are rotated slightly up, so I'd suggest rolling them down ever so slightly.

Thanks.

Well tweaked the bars today.

Hoods are still how I like them, from a comfort point, a slight up tilt.

Not sure if it's just the angle but it looks like the bars could be rotated further down. Keep the hoods where you like them though. Hopefully this bad photo shows you what I mean
