Bontrager XXX Road shoes

I've had 2 pairs of the XXX and both had the boa detach from the shoe (see attached picture). I'm now looking for a new pair not sure what I will buy but the SiDi look nice and are very comfortable.

I had the same issue with mine, but the repair was pretty easy. I contacted BOA and they sent me the base and a bunch of ratchets, free of charge. The cost to have a local shoe repair place repair the shoes was $35. I love the shoes, but I also bought a pair of Shimano RC7's as a backup, just in case.
