anybody ever done it ? it is possible.

Issue is emonda fork is 1.5 at the bottom w/integrated race.. Parlee stock fork is 1.25 with integrated race. I assume I'll need a new lower bearing to go into the frame..cane creek site has me confused.

Why you may ask? I want to use my EE DM mount brake. I think I can live with the rake change and Parlee no longer has the fork for the ESX line since it's discontinued.

Looking to see if anyone has done it.. and what size bearing.

TIA

Get OD of the fork shaft and the ID of the Parlee. You also need the mating angles for the headset angle contact bearings. The fork may be meant to set closer to the frame in the Trek and may look odd on the Parlee.
Trek typically uses odd bearing chamfers (usually 36/36). It shouldn't matter as long as you get the right angle for the fork and for the frame. instead of a 36/36, you might need a 45 side for the Parlee.

EDIT:
Here http://parleecycles.com/parts/ it says you need Cane Creek 110 Series EC44/33 (lower) and 110 ZS44/28.6 (upper) head set for the Parlee fork.

Headset Bearing 11/8" | OD:41xID:30.1xH:6.5xA:36°
Trek Madone headset bearing | OD:51xID:40xH:6.5xA:36/36° | ACB6808SS

So you'd need
PRALEE Bearing OD TREK SHAFT PARLEE CHAM TREK FORK CHAM Thickness
TOP 44 30.1 36x45 ?

BOTTOM 44 40 45 36 ?

Plan B: New headset
Upper
ZS44/28.6 (same)

Lower
IS47/40 (does not exist)
EC44/40(36°)

EDIT EDIT EDIT:
Looks like your ESX has an IS47 lower headset bearing. For a 1.5" steerer you need IS52. You need 5 more MM as the bearing doesn't exist for the lower headset - you won't find a 47x40 angular contact bearing.

Not gonna work. I don't think you are going to be able to find a bearing with a 1.50" ID that will fit into your frame, which was designed for a 1.25" ID bearing.

yeah I talked to Parlee... no forks. (that surprised me a little) Wish they would make another DM framed bike.

yeah I know the 47/40 does not exist.. been searching all day, but thanks JF.

I need to look into that new C64 Fork :)

Just keep looking... maybe the space shuttle, an F1 car, or a fighter jet used a special narrow wall bearing :-) That or shave an 1/8" off the Trek's carbon.

I like my face.. and skin. Shaving sounds a little dangerous 1/8 is a lot. :)
