I am thinking about modifying dura ace 11sp 11-30 casette by adding Gearoop 36t cog thus making it 12-36t.
Can it be done?
Where you guys are buying these Gearoop cogs? Link to online shop plz.
I bought a Gearoop direct-mount chainring from cycletaiwan.com last year.
Thanks, but is seems their website is not available anymore.
I vompared weights, and 11-32 uktegra + gearoop 36t will have almost the same weight as SRAM 11-36 1170.
So, no point in modding ultegra...
Road: 2018 Cannondale SuperSix EVO gen2 rim size 56 (raw stripped) 6.72kg
CX: 2014 Bridgestone Anchor CX6 Equipe 105 rim size 55 9.03kg

^ The weight might be similar, but the intermediate ratios will be different.

Sorry to resurect this old thread, but I'm in a similar situation.
My son is 16 y.o., running in the national cup. Next year, they have some pretty insane climbs.
He is bound, by rules, to run a 50-34 front and a cassette starting with 14 in the rear (gear development 7.50m).
The transmission is 2 x11, Ultegra 8000, long cage, mechanical.
I have the SRAM 11-36 cassette, that I think of mixing with some Shimano 14-28 Ultegra cogs. I also have an XLC (kind of Miche) 14-34. Can I mix them so I can get 50-34 front with 14-36 rear?
Any updates from the initial poster in this thread?

You can, I have been doing it since the 10 cassettes...now with 12 I have 14-32, mixing a Wuzei cassette, with Shimano sprockets...the 10.11 and 12 are the same thickness...although sometimes the chain pitch is not as "fine" as a normal cassette...I'm not complaining

I too had a smooth and quick transaction with CycleTaiwan shipping to the US this year for Gearoop products. A+
