Probably MCFK.
But what is your intention? Matchy-matchy or light-as-possible?

I like the look of the extralite better minus the finish, wish it was a matte finish. My mcfk is great but the clamp looks bulky on the steerer, especially if its on a straight 1 1/8 steerer. Would be nice if they used a lower profile clamping hardware on that area. They both ride great though. Carbon paste is a must on the bar/stem clamp on the MCFK.
Depends on how flat your bar gets just off the clamping area (but before the tape). That stem has about a 220 degree wrap, and a bar that is all round would have a very difficult time wedging into that stem, short of feeding it from the bar end.
I realize that's not a hard answer, but here is more info:

I don’t think you really need to “take it all off” but will definitely need to unravel the tape until a bit past the bend where you’ll likely have greater ease getting the bars into the stem. I used this method on the time Ulteam and Schmolke TLO’s.
