Came in at 6.3kg. Love it

Couple months later and have to say this is the nicest bike I’ve had so far.
It’s now at my lbs having a smattering of THM parts fitted. I had previously got the weight under 6kg, hopefully will be a good chunk lighter.

Stop it. Even if I p-x my whole bike I don't even get a frameset.

Lucky you who've got your C64, I'm still waiting.. :-(
I originally ordered C60 in Novemeber, expected delivery was end of February. At the beginning of February they introduced C64 and stopped producing C60s (and didn't even contact me that C60 is out of the question - which they actually knew for a long time). I had to start asking questions myself and ended up with changing the order to C64. Now, almost 4 more months later (almost 7 total), still nothing and not even any information this time.
Maybe in November on the 1st anniversary of my order they'll finally deliver something. :-D

So is it a dealer, a distributor, or Colnago that is uncommunicative?

I’m sure you can shop around the internet for what you want unless it’s custom paint or geometry....

It's an Italian dealer so they communicate with Colnago directly. Not sure where's the lack of communication originated from.
The problem is that they were at least able to offer some good price for the C64 given the circumstances (maybe that's the reason it's been put somewhere low on their list?). Ordering elsewhere would result in significantly higher price, thus I prefer to stick with the current order.

derosa2000 It seems you're from Italy, right? Then you're in much better position. Local manufacturer, local dealers and quite a lot of them so that there's some competition. Not the case here (no real competition) so I keep looking abroad as there are usually more interesting options. As for Italian dealers, some have very good prices, but only few of them sell abroad.

If you are in the US, beware that you will et slapped at nearly $1000 in customs import tax prior to the box being released to you by the courier. One possible way to avoid this is to have the maestro install components for you to the frame so it can be sent as "used" as he cannot sell it as new either once the parts ahve been installed really. It is a gamble whether it will work or not, so beware in the end!!!

What is the rule that triggers the import tax? Is it over a certain amount? I bought a frame from ebay/UK with no tax and I've bought tons of parts from Ribble and other UK mail order shops.

I am from Baltic States , we have very small market so sales are prety low and we can get very good discount and I am thinking local dealer is happy for any order from anywhere . I am in Italy quite often and for me all related to cycling stuff is quite expensive there .

I’ve bought three frames on different occasions from Bellati Sport in Switzerland and have never had to pay US Customs.

Does anyone have direct experience of the ride quality of the C64 vs the V2-R?

The V2 is cheaper and lighter but does it ride as well? In what way is it different in ride quality or are they feeling similar on the road. Notice quiet a few pros choose the v2.
