I own both, but I just got the Teammachine built up a couple weeks ago. 30mm wide G-ONE schwalbe tires fit

32mm Hutchinson Sector tires will fit on the RoadMachine with no issue.

I took both out to compare & in one short ride I can say the Roadmachine is a great bike, but the Teammachine takes it up a notch. Responsiveness, nimble, acceleration.

True the position is lower & streched out as noted, It’s a race bike.

I would choose by rider position preference.
Do you want to seat more upright? Get a RoadMachine
Are you flexible & like to stay low? Get the TeamMachine

By the way, my 56cm RoadMachine is for sale in the classified section if anyone is interested

You are absolutely right about the tire clearance of 28mm for TM.
I put the 25mm GP 4000s on it which measures 28.5mm on Nox wheels and it has a plenty of clearance.
Then I put a set of 28mm ones (measures 31.8mm) on it, and it literally touches the seat stays and under the fork.
Thanks for saving me the trouble!

I have an RM01 and the seatpost has been slipping. The shop has tightened it a few times and even removed the wedge and lubed it so it doesn't bind when torquing down. I've temporarily been able to solve the problem by retorquing the wedge bolt before every ride to 5NM (it always has at least 1/2 to 1/4 of a turn), but this is a rather annoying solution. Has anyone else experienced this problem or do you know of a permanent fix?

I imagine the LBS did it wrong. See: https://www.bmc-switzerland.com/fileadm ... amp_EN.pdf

Imagine same for RM?

This happened for me with TM. Took grease off; and got paste in right spot. Sorted.

I don't think that's it. They definitel put paste on the friction surface and greased the interestecting parts of the wedge. The tightening bolt continues to loosen on rides, hence I have to retorque it to 5NM. I'm considering putting loctite on the wedge bolt, but that may be a bad idea.

That looks quite similar to the design on the new C64. But there should be nothing on the friction surfaces. No grease, no carbon paste. Clean it off completely and see if letting the rough friction surfaces, when completely clean and dry, will do their thing and keep things in place.
I’m kind of curious about this since the design looks so very close to the new C64 but I have zero experience with how well the C64 clamp actually works in the real world yet. It did seem very robust when I took it apart. And the angles of the wedges looked like they would just add to the clamping effect.

If the bolt is coming loose after every ride.. Why not ask them to swap the clamp/bolt with a model on the floor. See if it happens still?

I was quite surprised to find that with the same -17 stem, the Roadmachine has quite a fair bit lower drop with the low headset cone compared to my Teammachine. Might try a -7 stem on it to even things out without spacers
