Dear All,

with upgrading Big pulleys/ceramic bearings and wheels becoming a mainstay/norm....I am finally thinking of jumping onto the bandwagon. However, there are so many different brands etc...was wondering if you kind folk can give the likes of us (lesser informed) the low down.

there are brands like of course
1) ceramic speed
2) SLF
3) Ridea
4) Carbon Dry
5) UCB

probably left out a whole bunch...but please any help and advice would be much appreciated

thank you

With your rides, you should run one of Wolfgang Berner's.

You should check Tripeak. In my opinion one of the best in price/performance.

I've got the Ceramicspeed OSPW system on my TT bike. I like them. Super smooth.

While I begin my search, is there a version of these things for Campy?

The question I have with an increase with the diameter of the upper pulley is the Moment Clearance of the bearing, as shown below;
Image
For smaller diameter pulleys, like a 10 or 11 tooth this isn't much of a problem. I am wondering about derailleur performance as the radius increases. I know you can select bearings with a closer tolerance/clearance, but this adds to cost.
Do the larger upper pulleys work well? I've seen some offerings where they have gone back to smaller upper pulleys, and maybe this is why.
