I'd steer clear of Titanium .... from what I have read, the welds have to be perfect .... some people report welds that crack after a while, especially around the bottom bracket where forces are huge
Key board 'queening  .. ones reads lots of she*t on the net. Welds of all flavors can crack... just like carbon.. carbon forks et al. Titanium "queen chatter" mostly stemmed from the sub 3 lb ti frames... very thin tubes.

Weld quality and it's longevity is not an issue on the custom side. Me I just went used Litespeed... one owner estate sales.. like new bikes. Built when Litespeed meant quality..........
Any reason this 5 months old topic needs resurrection? I mean, since OP asked for recomendations, he's probably made up his mind by now....

I mean.. why not? Lots of total nonsense posted daily here... :noidea:

When someone goes off on Ti I respond... that simple. Yes welding Ti is more challenging than pouring a plastic frame into a cheep mold in some back alley shop across the pond by someone who gives the tiniest gram of concern as to who said plastic junk makes into a quad... simply said.
Litespeed 2000 Appalachian 61 cm
Litespeed 1998 Blue Ridge 61cm

Fitness rider.. 1 yr from seven decades age.

That is my story and I'm stick'n to it.

"pouring a plastic frame into a cheep mold"?? Your ignorance is profound. There is much more manual labor in a carbon fiber frame construction that a TI frame. Get a clue...
