Madone Disc Spotted

I'm curious about S5 not being fast. What's the wheelset?
Also, how you find about the handling of Madone SLR comparing to S5?

I get the feeling he meant it wasn't comfortable. It's undeniably fast.jlok wrote:I'm curious about S5 not being fast. What's the wheelset?

Hey madone disc owners. Just re pinging this thread to see how the madone disc owners are going with their bikes!
I'm really tempted to pull the trigger on this, but I'm worried about the weight and how snappy it will be when trying to accelerate.
So any more reviews are more then welcome!
Cheers

Anyone here try the rim brake vs. the disc? i am tempted to go rim brake (don't ride in the wet much, no huge mountains, done fine so far with rim and cbf disc right now).
but only if it's good - i have an emonda SLR with direct mount DA brakes that are great.

Quick question. What the "height" of the stem?
I'm trying to figure out whether I should go for a 56 or 58. My BB to rail is 750mm, so I would need the long seatpost on a 56...but would certainly need (too much) spacer..and the 58 would be a little too long but no spacer would be needed.. depending the stem height

I hope it's wrong, my 58cm Allez disc is 8.28 with Ui2 and 64mm wheelswkwt wrote:Well, ouch, took one for the team.
Madone SLR 6 Disc, sz 52
SRAM Red etap groupset
Ultegra rotors
Bontrager Aeolus 5 Pro wheels
Look Keo Blade carbon pedals
Bontrager RXL cages
Conclusions:
- it’s a cheap Chinese scale, maybe it’s broke (read 8.34 kg, go figure)
Still sobering as far as weight goes. This thread may need to be taken down on Weight Weenies, lol.

Remember you can get the hi fit or the low fit stem.Benbike wrote:Quick question. What the "height" of the stem?

I panicked I had slammed my stem slightly too far but the isospeed is so good IMHO that the lack of vibration means my back has found it OK. Might be mental trickery but it works for me.

Yeah i have found this too. 1cm lower stack and longer reach than my previous bike but no issues doing 120km+ rides with lower back pain.izza wrote:Remember you can get the hi fit or the low fit stem.Benbike wrote:Quick question. What the "height" of the stem?
