@TonyM I would recommend the pcs 10, it's a little cheaper than the feedback one. It doesn't fold down as neatly and easily as the feedback though.

Thanks for the recommendation. It is indeed cheaper but I wanted to have an excellent quality and I was ready to pay more for that.
I will use the Feedback Sport pro Elite as a work stand but more often as a wash stand (most probably 1-2 times per week during 6 months per year)

For cheap, you should look on ebay. I found various generic, no brand name, stands. Something like this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bike-Bicycle-R ... 1315355011

It should be good enough for washing.

I have one of these that would work fine for washing. Super cheap, very handy and super portable:

I see that one clamps on the chain stays. I actually have this one which clamps to the quick release:

Why so?
There are at least two Spiders:
T3325: clamps frame/post
T3350: frame rests with BB and is secured with fork.

Which one POS?

I had a Tacx Spider T3350 and the quality was really not that good. Not really stable and cheap pieces of plastic everywhere.
I was very disappointed and I sold it right away and bought the Park Tool PRS-20. More expensive but a much better quality.

Yeah what TonyM says. Cheap, soft, plastic parts used on the parts that take the most wear - like the lock part to change angle. Utter junk.

Need to eBay it when I can be arsed. That Park Tool above sounds better.

have it, use it - can't find any issues with it so far. Easiest stand on the market to travel with. And lightest.

If memory serves well Giant-Alpecin was using it (?) .

Yes it was indeed quite light! But not as stable like the Park Tool etc...

Giant-Alpecin is also using Giant bikes....JOKE..

Ressurecting an old thread. I am looking to replace/make an addition to my Park Tool standard seatpost clamp stand.

Have looked at both the:

Feedback Sport Sprint stand (https://www.feedbacksports.com/product/ ... air-stand/)

Topeak Prepstand X (https://www.topeak.com/global/en/produc ... REPSTAND-X) - there seems to be a Pro version hard to find for sale

My only reluctance with the Feedback one is that the BB area is just sitting loose on the mount, whereas you can cinch it down on the Topeak version (of course I could use a voile strap or similar on the Feedback one if necessary).

Any one have either of these/care to chime in? Thanks

I've had my Feedback Sprint stand for over 4 years now and absolutely love it. It's extremely stable and the drivetrain is at a very comfortable working height. Yes, it would be possible to knock the bike off the BB support but I have't found that to be an issue but I do keep an eye on it so it doesn't happen. You could cinch it down with a Velcro strap I guess if that is concern. You also have to remove the front wheel which some people don't like but it only takes few seconds and doesn't bother me. It is possible to put the bike on it "backwards" but when I do that it is easier to put it up on the stand, remove the rear wheel and then flip it around. One thing I really like about it is you can rotate the bike 360° which is handy to get the best light on the area I'm working on from my open garage door.

I also have a PRS-25 but it rarely gets used since I much prefer the Sprint for the majority of my tasks. The PRS gets used when removing the fork of my MTB for service and also brake bleeding. It seems excessive to have 2 stands but I justify it by that fact I do all my own work and save a lot of money never having to take any of my bikes to a shop.

If something were to happen to the Sprint I'd order another one immediately.

Just get the sprint. The only time I ever really cinch the bottom bracket down with a cheap velcro strap is when I have a bare frame on the stand. It's just not an issue beyond that. For most work (especially on an assembled bike) I don't even bother. I can torque down my rotor and sram dub cranks with no issue.

I also like the sprint because I can raise it high enough to hang the bike from nose of the saddle real quick to do a simple rear wheel change. Not designed for that but works.

Thanks both.

One thing drawing me towards what seems to be the new/not yet fully released Topeak Prepstand X Pro is the axle clamp system.

I have thru axle bikes of different size (Road/MTB) as well as QR rim brakes, and it looks like that would require switching adapters on the Feedback Sprint vs the one system that accomodates all of them with the new X Pro.

Not a huge hassle granted, but just something of a small annoyance (same issue with my SeaSucker bike rack).

May just bite the bullet on a Feedback given the sale on at Sigma though.
