I've been using S-Works shoes for a while. I have the generation 6 currently. I tried on the 7s, and found them a bit wide for my ultra-narrow feet. I have a pair of Lakes in order from my LBS. I tried them a few weeks ago; feels like they were custom made for my foot. They feature heat-moldable carbon, which is think would be a nice feature for Specialized to adopt. I'd love to see more shoe makes provide a narrow choice for us riders with narrow feet. Specialized did it ages ago. So did Sidi.

Black shoes just sell the best. Don't the current model SW7 come in wide in white?
Hell would freeze. The bike industry will die if they made some WIDE WHITE SHOES I swear.
S-Phyre's are available in white wide.

Hows the fit if the regular width?

I have wide feet but I hate BLACK SHOES. I dont know what's with Shimano Lake and Specialized thinking people with Wide feet LOVE BLACK SHOES (?)

Hoping the regular width has a roomy toe box and just stretches overtime. There's a deal Im closely watching right now Im losing sleep over it.

Avoiding Bonts. They're amazing for crits, but godamnit my feet were crying after. They're ultra stiff, it's some BDSM masochist shit I swear.

Im gonna end my rant here 🙃. Woosah.

The regular s-works 7 have a stiffness index 15.0 compared to s-works vent of 13.

1g lighter than SW7s in size 42?!? I would have expected them to be much lighter.

Does anyone know if you can turn the part the cleat bolt, bolts into around to get the cleats further back. Looking under the inner sole there looks to be a bit to cut out but dont want to do it unless its the right thing to do. Cant quite get comfortable on the right foot and need the cleat further back

Yes. All you do is flip the cleat bolt. There are cutouts for the cleat bolt that you have to flip up to access the bolts.

I'm a dummy. I had assumed because they didn't make the 6 in the narrow that the same was true of the 7. Or it could have been when the 7 first came out they didn't have narrow. I don't remember.

I ordered both the 7 and Vent from Specialized so I could compare the two. There are definitely some rides around here where heat is a problem. I'm hoping the 7 in narrow fits my my Lakes. The Lake CX 403 completely eliminates hot spots and pressure points. Even my S-Works 6 shoes have a couple of spots where the pressure hurts my foot after a long day. The Lakes would be endgame shoes for me if they weren't so poorly ventilated.

I have 7s and Vents.

Had the 7s since launch and like them (now my turbo shoes), and got the Vents a week ago.

Vents performing lovely in the heat and very stiff (can't tell the difference).

Wore on a wet ride yesterday and the fabric / cotton material has stained so they look grubby already.

The material also bunches a bit on the outside (above little toe / side of foot area.

I asked Specialized about the fit of the Vents and they emailed that the fit of the Vents and 7 is the same. Is that true? They also said the Vents should really be treated as "race day" shoes and that the uppers are much more fragile than the 7. Interesting . . .

Identical fit to the 7s, but more supple uppers. Very comfy.

S-Works in a 46 fit me absolutely perfectly and have done for the past 10 years.
