Nothing wrong with the 7.
I'm sure not but will kick myself if a new one comes out the next week 🤦‍♂️

They are *starting* ride testing a new pair of road shoes right now. I am sure you guys are smart enough to figure out what shoes they actually are.

I just bought a pair of s-works 7 to replace my s-works 6.
However, I have no idea how to rotate the t-nuts on the s-works 7, the inside is no same as s-works 6. I did that on my s-works 6 to get the 5mm rewards.

Here are the pictures of the inside of s-works 6 and 7.
It’s next to impossible to dislodge the excess glue holding the nuts inside the sole. Even pushing super hard with the cleat a little loose doesn’t help much.

Fix - I used an Allen key and pressed down slightly, don’t over do it and push right through the inside of your sole. That will help break the glue fixing the nut in place and provide you the adjust to slam the cleats back. See my posted story @smoothpedlar “S-Works 7 Fix”

I just did these on my Vents. Not too impressed with the shoe. Looser fit up top due to the mesh, don’t really feel the air coming through But they look cool!

Thanks for the reply.
My LBS told me to use a medical scalpel to make a cut line, though I used a utility knife to cut it.
And yes, I used a Allen key to push from the outside to break the glue. It took me for a long time.
S-works 6 is a lot easier. Specialized should copy Shimano rc901 nuts design.

I put a video up on my Instagram @smoothpedlar of breaking the nut free from the glue.

I don't have my pair yet and havent seen any photos of the prototypes. I am certain they will not have laces.

Bummer. I love my Sub6 and hoped they would make a Sub7. I should have bought more than 3 pairs.....

If s-works 8 comes out in a couple of months, it will kill sales of s-works 7 vent shoes.

I have the Vents and I would recommend the previous S-Works 7 for more of a secure fit. The softer fabric of the mesh requires much more tightening of the BOA's and the fabric ends up pinching.

My white vents are now grey (well, the matieral is).

Fizik's can be wiped down or bucket cleaned quite well. Depends on materials. Think the new type of woven shoes don't do well in white. The vented ones tend to be a mix of both and don't do great in white either.

The Vent is difficult to clean with all the mesh. All the mesh holes look dirty even after 3 rides. I’ll wait until they get so dirty it’ll look black and maybe the contrast will look better. Will know in another month or so.
