Yes, any frame smaller then 51 cm will be sloped. I know many doesn’t like it but I ride a frame that fit.

how about the feel of ride ?
great ?

Haven’t built it yet. Currently in vacation mode but when I’m done with the bike it will look exactly like Ritchie Porte bike.

2011 frame/model. That said — work colleague of mine had a BMC fair few years ago. Ended up as warranty issue that took ages. Apparently the 2018 Team Machine has bit more weight; but support for frame.

He's joking - "warranty within 9 months".

Interested in seeing the video guys take on that frame....

And I say this as I get word my bike has finally arrived (month earlier than expected!) :o
It's all about the adventure :o .

I'm 173cm and my bmc roadmachine is 54 size.
I think 47 is suitable for you

How long is your stem?
How many spacers do you have?
Do you have the regular head cap or the low head cap?

Im ordering a bmc teammachine slr 01. Its my first real competitive bike. Can't decide between 47 or 51. Im 166cm tall. Im using the competitive cyclist fit calculator and then using Ridley website for stack and reach. Im border line between the two. I've heard the smaller size could prove to cause neck and shoulder stress and go for the 51 for longer term comfort.

Any advice or opinions most welcome. My head is wrecked trying to figure it out.

Thanks
Not sure if you've already decided on your bike size, but based on a Defy with a 60 stem, the BMC Teammachine SLR01 isn't going to accommodate your position well at all. Out of the 2 sizes you're considering, the 51 should fit less badly as it barely has any additional reach, but it's closer to the stack of the Defy. If you're ordering the disc version, BMC has a calculator dealers can use, enter handlebar stack, handlebar reach, saddle height, and it gives you which sizes will fit, how they'll fit. Remember, the disc can only be used with their proprietary -10 (or so) degree stem.

I'm 173cm tall
Saddle height from middle of the bb to top of the saddle is about 724mm
I'm on a 51 team machine disc as the 54 was too big (legs smashed against top tube.
Previously owned medium propel and medium tcr disc
Hope that helpsImage

Sure. And thanks.

I'm having some issues with the seatpost sliding down... :( so the post is meant to be a bit higher than in the photo. Image

had the same issue when I took mine out for the first time, had to reapply assembly paste and raise the torque to ~6-7Nm iirc, spec sheet says only 5Nm

I'm about 5mm from the minimum insertion mark.

I'm waiting for the zero offset seatpost which is longer Image
