Press fit bearings, PF30 BB ......has proved to be a difficult combo, personally I also disliked the additional tools required to mount and dismount the cranks plus the tiny Bolt used to lock the adjustable collar was a shite solution.

Basically a faff that brought few benefits.

Some highly praised the design/execution compared to other 30mm axle/bearing designs - others complained of several of its features. My take is that bb30 framesets are a dying breed - which correct me if I’m wrong - was the primary target of this “alternative” design

I have one for threaded cups. I have not ridden on it yet but I fitted it because it five arm and that the correct ring size for me. Installing it took alot more time than fitting a ultra torque crankset.

My theory is that the Campy engineering team in charge of crankset design are bonused based on the expense of the special Campy tools required to install and service them. That, and how many proprietary chainring designs they can come up with.

They scored big time with the Overtorque design

I use an overtorque chainset on my 2005 madone. The proprietary tools aspect is an arse and a typical campag wheeze. However, it's a light chainset and I think the engineering is superb.I use it with the bsa threaded cups. The disappointing aspect is that the cups weigh 100 grams which seems about 30 grams too much.

my install tool broke the second time I used it. I'm hoping to get a replacement at some point. The removal tool is a thing of joy and simple to use. I have no beef with the chainset the only lighter options are clavicula and m3 which are way more expensive. so overtorque is great cash vs weight saved.

I bought a crankset a few years ago when I was building up my Cannondale EVO. They were closing them out so I got it pretty cheap so buying the tool was not a big deal. It looks great and I have not had to touch it since installing.
