Pinarello F10: tire clearance?
Moderator: robbosmans
Hi,
Pinarello is claiming that the F10 has a 25mm tire clearance (vs. 23mm for the F8 AFAIK).
But many 25mm tires are actually measuring more than 26mm on the rims.
What is your experience with your F10 in terms of tire clearance?
Which tires on which rims give how much clearance left?

I’ve mounted 25mm conti s4k 2’s on enve 4.5 ses new brake tracks hoops with no clearance issues. Could probably fit another size bigger but there is really no need to as I’m back down to 23mm pirelli.

I have been running Conti 4000S II and Conti Grad Prix 4 Season both in 25mm on my F8 and everything is good. I cannot believe Pinarello released the F10 this year and had no direct mount brakes on it
I am even using 25mm Conti 4000s on my Pinarello 65.1 and it's OK, tho the clearance is much closer.
My feeling is that not all tire manufactures have the exact same width even thou the label may say they are 25mm. OR the size of the rim you are mounting a tire makes a big difference.

I am using Vredestein Fortezza Senso All Weather 700 x 25c mounted to Campagnolo Bora One 17C clinchers on my F10. Measures 26.5 mm (@ 100psi) and 27.0 mm (@110psi) in width with my calipers. No frame or brake clearance issues whatsoever. They do stretch over time as they measured 25.5 mm when newly mounted.
My brakes are Campagnolo Super Record skeleton Dual Pivot front and Single Pivot rear. I'm not sure if Shimano or SRAM brakes would have different brake clearances or not.
I would recommend removing the rubber nibs (hair) from the tire. I forgot one time and they sort of "polished" the inside chainstays near the bottom bracket.

It's all downhill from here, except for the uphills.

I just built my new F10 and I’m running Vittorio Corsa 25mm no problem.

I also intend to use among others the Vittoria Open Corsa 25mm.
Good to hear that there is no problem with the clearance fork/ frame/ chainstay.
