This morning I was installing a new Centaur 11 speed crankset.
I thought I was making a mistake or something else went wrong. The thread of the left crankarm is missing.
Anyone seen this before?

Looks like hirth teeth to me. The centre joint is a hirth joint.

There's no thread on the left arm, so the bolt has no grip.

When you spin your legs an electromagnetic field is created and magnetism holds the cranks together - no need for bolts or threads. Campagnolo call this 'EPS' - Electromagnetic Propulsion System.
