Pulled the trigger on this today. Build will be:

SL6 disc size 49
Roval CLX50
Conti GP4KS2 25mm
Aerofly 40mm
S-works SL stem 100mm
DSP 2.5
Full DA DI2 hydraulic 52/36 x 12/28
DA 9100 pedals
Ceramic Speed BB converter
SI SLR Kit Carbonio Flow S

I’m hoping it can sneak just below 7kg with this build but we shall see.

One question though - I am not sure if I should run a 140 rotor in front or 160? The spesh concept store I am getting this from tells me their complete disc builds are always 160 front and 140 rear.

But they also told me that some like me (165 height and 63kg weight) do 140 in front. I ride in a pretty flat country (Singapore) and most I ride with aren’t on discs - so I’m thinking I do 140 front and 140 rear. Looks symmetrical too. Thoughts?

Can't say for Shimano?
Have SRAM HRD 140 Fr & Rr on a Canyon SLX
I prefer the feel of the 140 front, feels like best rim brake ever with no fade
160 is very powerful !

75kg here

YES on the 140/140.

cheers guys. will probably give the 140 in front a whirl. if i feel its not enough or it heats up too fast (my guess is no on both), then will switch to 160 further down. really looking forward to this rig.
So the only disadvantage of 160 is weight. I would prefer to have stronger/better braking than to save on weight on brakes.
And I would also prefer to have both at 160. Only need to keep a spare rotor rather than 2 different sizes, plus it looks symmetrical.

At 140, it feels like rim brake... but why do u want ur hydraulic disc brakes to feel like rim brakes when it should be better. it's 160mm or nothing for me...

I think 160/140 has its merits. COG of a braking bike will shift to the front so a smaller rear rotor would have less chance to lock up the wheel. Same thing happen on car and motorcycles, so why not on a bicycle?

Horses for courses.. Road bikes had an asymentric braking used by some people with dual pivot fronts and single pivot rear that had less power. Others were happy with single front and rear.

For Dogmatic, makes perfect sense to do 140mm front and rear as he's quite light and lives in pancake flat Singapore.
Great colour frame and build list by the way. Look forward to see it once built.

Pulled the trigger on a Tarmac Disc, after my current bike kept giving me speed wobbles! Let’s hope this works better. :) Image

Very nice Alex, that is a massive drop.

Does the default seat post come out that long ?? lol

Hit 65km/h in the wet last week and had no issues with wobbles but i'm much shorter with a lower center of gravity so I suspect i'm less suspect to speed wobbles than yourself.

Has anybody had or heard of deliveries of the bike in frame sizes 61 (or 49)? I'm still waiting for my 61. It was supposed to be here April 29, but now they say these two sizes are further delayed..

Picked this up today and could not be happier with how it turned out. Not lots of pics out there of the cyan chameleon blue in the build and size I was planning so hopefully this helps others too.

Weight as per build above (except did not do aerofly and did shallow bend instead) and pic below is exactly 7.0kg on the scale of my LBS. this includes the DA pedals, 2 S-Works cages and D-Fly unit. I went with 160 front rotor instead as per advise from the concept store and also read up on what Shimano now advises. Actually looking at the 160 rotor now, I like it. Gives it a superbike look.

Still need to see my fitter and finalise the spacers and all, but saddle height (695) and setback (-17) is already set.

Tomorrow is the maiden ride so really looking forward to it!

what size is the frame dogmatic ?.. my saddle height is only slightly higher.. so gives me some perspective. What is the distance from road to top of bars ?

@Torbjorn See Dogmatics size 49.. but depends where you are. (he's in Singapore).

@Dogmatic, Thats a nice colour way and build. Looks like at your height.. you and Alex are both all legs .. (hides my stumps in shame).
