Has anyone had any luck with a Tarmac Pro frameset weight? I can’t decide whether it’s worth getting the S-Works frame and build it with value in mind or the Tarmac Pro build...

Also are there any other 6 foot 3 guys on here (192) to compare some geometry things with?

Cheers!

Anyone else have zero clearance between the chain and crank arm? Only happens in the big ring(52t) up front and small ring(11t) in the rear. Hanger is straight, everything looks straight etc etc
Shimano ultegra 8000/8020, medium derailleur, 11-30, kmc x11sl.
54 frame, 172.5 crank length.

Improper spacer setup with the crankset/spindle?

Not that I’m aware of. I don’t believe there are any spacers used. I replaced the non drive side crank arm with a power meter, but I didn’t pull the drive side off.

Well in order to use a Shimano crank on a Tarmac, a conversion of some sort needs to be installed to because the Shimano spindle is 90mm wide and the Tarmac’s BB shell is 68mm.

I use Shimano crank on all of my Specialized bikes and have never seen anything like that regarding the chain/crank arm contact... any ther pics, perhaps farther out?

My Sworks 56 frame – using a 9100 crank and ceramic speed BB30 insert – clears the chain by 4mm in the 53x11.

I checked the Emonda, slightly more clearance +/- 4.5 mm

Hope this helps. Crank arm does not hit the fd.

Ahhh... looking at thos pics, I can see you have a disc brake frame and they are wider at the back, pushing the 11 cog slighter farther out, but the Shimano crank is also wider than a standard BB30 crank, I beleive.... in theory this would mean that someone running a native SWorks crank that is narrower would experience rubbing and too my knowledge this isn't an issue.

On my rim brake bikes, I've got Shimano cranks with praxis adapters and I've got roughly 5mm clearance, at least. I suspect something is not quite right with your setup.

Turns out it’s not just my bike.

I'm building up an SL6 with etap/full SRAM groupset. I am hoping to run my current GXP cranks. Obviously the Tarmac has an OSBB bottom bracket, so I reckon I need one of these convertors - can anyone confirm this is the right one please (link below)? "68mm GXP CONV BB30/PF30"

Confusingly there also seems to be an option called "GXP OSBB Conv BB30/PF30" - not sure what this is, but it's out of stock.

Do I need any other bits?

Cheers

Also, does anyone know the bolt pitch (distance centre-to-centre between the bolts) on an S-Works SL stem? I've ordered the stem, and want to order one of these Fetha Garmin mounts - https://www.fetha.com.au/product-page/a ... late-mount

Unless anyone has a better suggestion for an out-front mount that will attach to an S-Works SL stem? :)

The bolt pitch of S-Works SL stem is 24mm.

I ended up getting F3 Form Mount, as I was not able to get hold of anything better. I really do not like it. Very fiddly to get properly installed and I'm not 100% sure I have my bots up to right torque.

Thanks. Sounds like the F3 is best avoided. Has anyone tried the Fetha?
