Can anyone speak to maximum saddle height on a 58cm?

regarding the Corsa Speeds, they are NOT a tire for everyday riding, it is a TT tire. It amazes me how many people I see on this board attempting to run these tires. I think they see the weight and the fact that their tubeless ready and they stop the research there. They are a TT tire designed to be run for ultimate low rolling resistance. They have ZERO flat protection and the casing is super thin... I guess some people may take comfort that tubeless will prevent flats or punctures, but in my experience that was not the case. The compound is also set up for super fast rolling and the grip is not good in the wet. There are much better tires out there that are fast, for all around riding.

Yep. A mate of mine tried to ride those in regular conditions. After 2 tubes through the front and 2 through the rear in normal riding he pulled them and went back to turbo cottons.

Approx 860mm, I'm @ 807mm and have a good 50-60mm of post still hidden in frame to minimum insert.

Maybe he should have run them tubeless and dropped the PSI?...

I’ve tried all the top end tyres (Tubro Cottons and Power Comps being my favourite), but thought I’d try these on an upcoming cycling holiday.

If I have bad luck, it’s only £80 down the pan and I’ll take a spare set of tyres with me, which will probably be the Galactik’s or Power Comps.

maybe you'll have good luck with punctures, maybe not... IMO, the bigger issue is that you're going to use tires designed for a very specific purpose for something other than that purpose. I used Corsa Speed's for two season of TT racing. I ran them both with tubes and tubeless and actually had better luck with punctures when running tubes (no punctures). When I was running tubeless, the tiniest cut resulted in a puncture that would not seal. I ended up buying another tire, but didn't like the fit on the wheel and was battling issues with getting the tubeless set up and sealed. As far as using them, they are very fast, designed for absolutely low rolling resistance, which always means grip isn't very high. In dry conditions, they are ok, but in wet conditions, they aren't te greatest. I absolutely would not use them as a tire for regular road riding. IMO, turbo cottons or the standard Corsa G+ tires are far better for this purpose and only slighlty slower in rolling resistance.

You've probably been asked this plenty other times but, coming from the S5 what made you go for the SL6 rather than the Venge?

The SL6 I'm building isn't for me, it's for a friend.

I'm still deciding on my next bike, but Madone SLR 9 Disc is currently top of the list.

I manage two TTs without puncturing on my corsa speeds. first one puncture... two successful rides... the last one a blow out with a huge gash. Not using them again!

hi guys, I remember that a while ago there was no option of a zero-offset seatpost on the Tarmac.. Has this changed at all?

You sure? I recall someone mentioning it’s an orderable part...and we’ve seen pros with it. It almost looks like a -5 offset (backward mounted) post.

They cut so easy that even tubeless doesn't help an awful lot. Ended a RR early for me. Personally would only TT on them, tubeless saved me one race and ended another early TTing as well.
