I experienced the opposite also...

Like riding my C60 and people telling me that Colnago is way to overpriced and that a Giant is as good and less expensive

Maybe Colnagos are more rare in the US?

In a year and a half of riding I've seen one other Colnago on the road, a C50.

I suppose it depends where in the US....

As for me, I live now in Canada (Vancouver area) and over here you can see many Colnago C60, Bianchi XR4, Dogma Fx, etc... They are many bikers with enough money (but often lacking some fitness....). And of course lot of Giant, Trek and Specialized.

My point was to say that the behaviour of other cyclists when they see other cyclist/ bike brands can be very various...from very positive to very negative...
That's why I always recommend to use what you like (and not what the pother people would say).

(I had also the same experience in the past in terms of cars that I was driving. The behaviour and statements of the people were very various...also from very positive to very negative...)
