First Colnago purchase

I will soon be purchasing a real bred Italian bike the Colnago C60 45s. I'm not a tall guy but I think the sloping frame is good too compared to the traditional style. I'm still undecided to what groups set to go for either the Etap, DA or go for Campagnolo. This will be a slow build and will most likely collect a lot of dust along the way. Perfection is my goal.

Money definitely is not an issue.

I'm 170cm and 71cm saddle height on my current bikes.

Maybe get them to stick each crank in bb and let you see which you like the most.

I have a friend who rides a 45s C60 and 42s Concept .. C60 with DA Di2 and Concept with Etap.

You sir have a very nice C60. Do you have any rattles from the wire of your electronic group set?

This isn't going to go over well, but you said you want it perfect, some (me) think that taking Campy out of the equation means that will never be achieved.

That's one of the reasons why I am trying to convince myself to love the Campi group.

I have the same height than you (1m70) and my Colnago For Ferrari CF6 (with Lightweight wheels ) is a 48s

I have a C60 with 9070 Di2. I do get a bit of rattle from the wires or junction box in the downtube, on rough roads or hitting larger bumps. Maybe in the winter I will pull the BB and try to come up with some solutions, but it certainly is a PITA to address these internal cable issues.

I think if I was building this bike today I would consider a SRAM eTap shifting setup, but I'm not a big fan of the SRAM brakes or crankset so I would consider using EE or TRP brakes and a Rotor crankset. Or the SRM crankset if one wanted a power meter. Or if I could live with the component mis-match, perhaps a Dura-Ace 9100 crankset.

The stack and reach of the 45s and 48s is very similar. I'd look at the 48s as it should look better. Even a 48s with it's more aggressive sloping TT doesn't look as good as a 50 or 52. But, with the same saddle height as yours, I'd definitely purchase a 48s. The difference in stack and reach should be insignificant so you're choosing between aesthetics, seatpost length and STA.
