CAAD12 Ultegra vs Supersix evo 105. Same price. What would you get?

Evo. You can upgrade it to a better bike. If you're ridding crits and risk crashing, then maybe the CAAD is the best choice though. What usage do you have planned?

Training, road racing, and Crits. Not worried about crashing carbon. Aluminum can crack and break and carbon can be fixed although I'm sure I'd replace it anyway.

I was waiting for the 2018 caad to show up at my dealer so I could get the new Ultegra but they have a 2017 Supersix 105 marked down. Pretty sure there's zero difference for 2018 other than colors right?

It's not that great of a deal though. They claim retail is $2200 even though the website says $2k and they have it listed at $1850. For 1850 I'd rather get a 2018 because it's coming in black and if they pull that $2200 crap I can pull up the website and show that retail is 2k.

Why even ask. The answer is obvious. Evo of course. It's a better bike.

I own a caad12 and love it, but I'd sooner have the evo. In my view there's not much between 105 and ultegra.

Own both.. The evo is a much more comfortable bike and stiffer bike to hammer on.

It's a great review. If I were upgrading parts in the future the Evo, if I was keeping the stock build the Caad12.

I went and looked at the Evo today. It's the baby blue and it's slick. They have it listed for $2200 and on sale for 1850. Kind of a sham since retail is 2k. Still a decent deal but I feel like it should be a little less for a "leftover" that's artificially marked up.

It's stiff and fast. Def needs better wheels but yea I may have to get it.

I came off an evo hi mod and am now on the caad 12. I prefer the Caad. Its a lot more responsive. I have never LOVED the evo (I preferred the super six hi mod which was stiffer but heavier). The Evo is more comfortable for long long days but other than that, especially for the money I think the Caad is an amazing bike.

Agree 100%. I've owned both and prefer the CAAD12. A lot more responsive.

I would recommend the Supersix evo 105.
This choice will be good for future upgrades.
