Bontrager speed limit on wide rims

Does anyone know how the bontrager handles some 24 mm wide rims? I had a pair of FRM's that couldn't even clear a pair of normal racing zero c15

I'm talking about the older version that can be found in black and silver

Those are pretty old, so I wouldn't expect them to work with really wide rims. You may be able to get away with narrow pads and eliminate some of the spacers, but don't expect miracles.

BTW, I used to run the XXX version, and it would clear the 24mm tires I ran on the back of my old Madone, but it was tight.
