I'm about to try patching with a regular butyl patch and can post back my results.

I patch them with regular butyl glue, but I'm using an old latex innertube to cut patches outside of it. Works like a charm! Those latex patches are so thin, you barely notice them when done.

I've patched with both cut-up sections of latex tube as well as the Park GP-2 patches in the past with success. I use a bit of vulcanizing glue with the park patches for a bit of extra security.

Thanks for the different tips. I will keep my broken latex tube next time for patching. :)

No problems patching with pieces cut from a Michelin latex tube and standard Rema glue.

Do patched latex tubes still roll fast? Surely, rigid patches must add some rolling resistance. Is this negligible?

Old post but since it got dug up, I'll add another acedotal data point.

I've always and still do patch latex with a regular patch. I have never had a regular patch come off.
