Does anybody know which bottom bracket i need for my scott foil 30 2013 with a sram force carbon crank? And which brand would you recommend? I currently have a creaking issue, planning to replace the bearing and use loctite when installing a new one.

So I took the crank apart today and on the bearing it says GXP pa gf The drive side diameter is 24mm and has a wave fasher and the other side is 22mm, The BB measures around 90mm from the edge of 1 bearing to the other. I am now confused is this a bb86,90,92?

i use hawk racing BB on both TMR02 and Addict R1 with GXP crank.

https://www.danscomp.com/products/45606 ... acket.html

just let them know you need it for sram and they will order it for you. or you can purchase it directly from hawk racing.

these are press-fit and they spin so smooth like ceremicspeed.

not sure if there are any other brands out there that are screwed in for press-fit for GXP. i have one from wheelsmfg but it's screwed in for PF30 BB -> GXP. that one has absolutely no creak.

btw.. u might want to check with scott first before using loctite in case it may void warranty. i don't have creak issues on my addict...

I got this email from Scott about loctite/grease for a carbon frame+bb installation.

A very light amount of grease can help the BB press in straight and smoothly. If you have had issues with your bike creaking from the BB area then I would suggest using a small amount of green loctight on the BB cups themselves and that should help alleviate that issue.

Any of the two will fit. it's Cups vs. sleeves. Or just get the shimano one.

Thank you both for clearing that out. I have a SRAM gxp crankset so i'm not sure a shimano bb can be used. Correct me if i'm wrong as i'm fairly new to bottom brackets

Yes sorry, Shimano won't work as GXP is 22 / 24.

It can, but you need a specialized BB like this https://www.kogel.cc/collections/bb86-b ... gxp-cranks

They're usually pricy.
